For Sale, Free, Ebay, Craigslist, BoatTrader, Coupons, Specials, Services for TT

I’ve never received back funds for stereo/Wetsounds equipment on any boat, or my RZR. Or new trailer tires. Or extra ballast and gear. Or anything really.
Awful investments lol.

Yeah idk what you’re talking about. I’ve flipped 10 modded trucks in 12 months for insane prices.

People who want it will pay more. People who say there is no market for that have their heads in the sand.

For profit?

I seem to rarely break even if I’m lucky, and I get all of my aftermarket at wholesale prices.

They may sell FASTER to the RIGHT PERSON.
But to me it seems only high dollar dealers offering “warranty” seem to get the clientele for a tidy profit.

Of course people will pay more if they want it. But when 'it' becomes more expensive and more obscure mods fewer and fewer will pay full price for ALL of 'it'. Everyone will pay more for a boat with PP, probably as much as it costs. Some of stuff on that boat, not so much.

The listing is gone by the way.

If you are able to break even in some cases, to me that means you are getting someone to pay for your mods.

The original quote was "Getting someone to pay for your mods doesn't work with cars" which is not true in all cases.

Nothing is ever absolute so sure sometimes the things you add will be attractive enough for someone to pay more for them. In general though if you're modding your boat, especially if you're straying away from OEM don't expect to break even. You have to have the mind set that you're doing it for you to enjoy and that is the price you're willing to pay.

I recently saw a 97 SAN with 4 old school Pimp My Ride amps in one of the rear lockers and that old 12v neon lighting. The boat only had something 200 hours on it and was in perfect condition but do you really think that "upgrade" going to pay off? BTW, stereo's are typically the worst investment. Nothing says dated like an old stereo. Be smart with your upgrades and keep everything looking OEM and you won't get hurt. Go off the reservation and all bets are off.

Seems a little fishy. "One owner"? The CL ad has some differences from the original MC listing: Slightly different angle, steering wheel is turned, the mirror is backwards, and different engine hours. Same parking lot, same shadows on the interior.

At least they cropped the Jag in the parking lot out of the picture.
