    '86 Skier seat back question

How does the corner seat back panel come out? Do you have to take out the while black plastic base to access the back or is it on a hanger?
    Thanks

Sorry for the upside down pic

I am pretty sure you can see it if look behind the panel. I think the best view was to put your head through the flip up back rest. I am thinking it was just the old plastic screws that just pop in and out (like those in car door panels) that you basically pry out. But don't try without looking to be sure.

        Awesome, thanks!

I applied a little force but didn't want to crack anything especially since it's still below freezing here. Now I know I'll get a flat tip behind there and find the clips.

Looked down the side of the seat back and saw some of the clips appeared to have screws.
The top pic ( upside down again) shows 3 screws that seem to come through the back of the wrap around part of the seat (shown in lower pic ). They must pop out, else how was it put together?

those screws you took a pixture off are holding the fiberglass seat base to the boat..

the back seat pad is held in by the PLASTIC TABS like OCCVA said above.. once you pull off the seat back it will expose those screw heads you are seeing in the picture..

once you pull the seat back pad off you will have to pull some stables out of the back of the upholstery to replace those plastic tabs...

this is your seat base and where the seat base and the screws you see are coming through and poking out the back...

it has nothing to do with the seat back rest pad.. just pull the seat back rest off

FOOTCLAN thanks, I really appreciate you showing me that. We all know how delicate these old ladies can be. Breaking something when your trying to fix something is the definition of frustration!

Mines and 84 and I removed seat bottom
Then screws holding the bottom of the side panel Down. Then flip up side panel and remove more screws across top. May not relate at all to your 86 though...

I agree those screws are holding in the base.
If I recall there was one plastic screw/tab in that end of the piece. it looks like there is an extra hole where it may have been so maybe that one broke off already.
