Love the blue. It pops when buffed out. Nice job. Looking forward to seeing it completed.

The boat is now out of the water and I have started disassembling the engine. The new long block should be here in a few days.

Unfortunately I stripped two of the Allen bolts that attach the throttle body and one of the bolts attaching the fuel rail. Trying to figure out how to remove them.

I also removed the ecu. Any ideas on how I can clean and repaint it without damaging it?

Lots of progress made over the last few days. Picked up the long block and removed the old engine. Removal wasnít easy. First thing we did was try to remove the shaft but there wasnít enough space to fit a normal puller with a center bolt as Iíve seen people on here use. We used one of those sgteering wheel pullers that have four prongs as it was big enough to span across. Then instead of the using a center bolt we just let it rest against the nut of the shaft (which we loosened) and then used the side bolt to tighten it as it pushed the shaft which worked perfectly).

Next we built an a frame out of 4x4s to lift the engine. Once we got it off we put the new long block on a stand and the old engine on the crate that came with the long block.

Just received this from gatorstep. What a great company. They were extremely helpful in the ordering process and the flooring was shipped out the next day!
