    Diesel's X23 Build

Thought I would start a thread for the new boat.....

So far not much progress, except for some planning and dismantling. The plan:

Wetsounds SD6 for 6 JL 7.7 cockpit speakers
Wetsounds SD6 for 2 JL 7.7 tower, 2 JL 8.8 Tower, and 2 free air 10" JL subs
    Fosgate T1500.1 for a 2 cube sealed 13.5 JL W7 under helm
    3 Group 31 Batteries
Factory fusion Head unit and remotes

Here is the boat and pics to follow as I progress......

Got the new battery tray welded up and test fitted for the 3 group 31 AGMs. They fit perfect in the factory location. The plan is to enclose the batteries with StarBoard panels.

        Sharp looking boat !
I don't see the MHD amps on the parts list for the new plan. ?
If you want to sell them, I would be interested.

Cool. I'm going to hang on to them for now. I might put them in my K5 eventually.

Are you wanting to sell any of those M series amps? I got a buddy who needs an amp, possibly two for his boat.

Never mind I forgot that you already listed these in the classifieds and sold them. Great looking 23 btw!

I ran all the 1/0 under the floor and decided to keep all the distribution blocks under the floor in the observer's storage. This will keep everything out of site and clean.

Amp board. This will mount to the observer inside wall next to the power distribution center.

                          Nice work,
What is you plan to keep the Batteries Dry?
You mention StarBoard cover/box ...but seams like without a lip water will seep under and around to battery tops?

All struggle with that when cleaning my boat. even the standard battery covers arent great

You don’t often see people powering their JL tower speakers with Wetsounds amps. Would love to hear your decision process. I prefer the sound of JL speakers but I must admit that Wetsounds tower speakers have a bigger visual impact.

Appreciate the insights. I haven't given it much thought. I had 2 batteries in the bilge of my 209. The got wet sometimes but always dried out. I might see what I can do to capture or redirect water.
