I love my Ronix Skimmer... haven’t had much experience with other skim boards though.

A few nice phase 5 2019 boards on eBay right now. The Hammer head is a killer skim board, super fast like a surf style, but very maneuverable like other skims. We love ours

P5 Hipsta is a great all around board that a lot of different people can ride and learn on. Our MC dealer cant keep enough of them in stock.

However I would suggest looking into Soulcraftboarding and Dan O Shapes.

Dan Cooley makes some mad custom boards for less than $800. He wont cash your check until your happy with it. He puts 5 fin boxes so you can rid 2, 3, 4, or 5 fins set ups. He only puts the best fins. He builds the board to your size, height, style, and wave. He has a few pro riders on his boards. Soul Craft has about the same concept of customer service and making sure they are happy but cost mid to upper $900. Look up Dan Cooley of FB he is the owner of B2R Composites. Just give him a call 321-245-1099. FYI he as worked with some of the best in the Surf biz.

I've had great luck on craigslist with boards. Got a P5 Danielo Diamond for less than 1/2 price. Still had the sticker on it. Some guy with an IO bought it and then figured out he couldn't use it. Also got an Inland Surfer for 1/2 price. The P5 is my favorite, though.
