I think systems made before either ‘17 or ‘18 have two separate hoses per bag, where as the newer systems have one big hose assembly per bag. This allows the actual tank to vent better and eliminates the vacuum effect.

What I did on my system was cut out sections of hose I didn’t need and connect them with barbed hose connectors. It’s looks cleaner and I get better water flow.
