How far back can you surf

The other day we surfed the X24 at 13mph- super choppy, but was able to ride back to the curl no problem- Buddy sent me a video today, one of his customers tried it too. His pictures are better than mine- How far back do you think he is? Here is a screen shot

He surfed that far back and made it back into the wave multiple times in the video.

Kind of crazy

That is sick!!! That is what I want to do!!!

Mastercraft states there are 4 zones - 1 being right by back of boat and 4 being like - 10-15 feet behind the boat. You look way back further - must be zone 20 or something!!

Is that wave totally stock? What is your configuration?

If you ride a sup you can surf the 2nd roller.

The surf rope is 20 feet long, when its full length if I speed the boat up to 11.8 I can ride behind it at full length by a fair amount, but its attached to the tower, so I'd guess 18-20 feet back under the right conditions. Never tried anything faster than 11.8 or a board bigger than 4'7".

How far back can you surf

Feels like I can get to 20-22í ish back based on the tow rope. My son looks like he is 25-28í ish back as he can get to back of curl middle of hull spray wash.

That X24 shot looks like the back 40.

Thereís a video of steel behind a star on instagram from a month or two ago thatís insane. Itís gotta be the longest surfable wave Iíve seen video of. Those of you on instajam know which one Iím talking about, he starts pumping and it seems like heís gaining 3-4í each pump and it still takes him forever to get behind the boat.
