Yeah, and once you sign up for the do not call list, you get more. I never answer and assume most are political or want money because as I understand it, the do not call list allows government calls. What a joke.

Yup, extended warranty or my direcTV account qualifies for reduced price. Trouble is I don't have direcTV nor do I need an extended warranty.

I never answer the phone. 8 out of 10 times they don't leave a voice mail. I have the HiYa app which helps a little. With all the number spoofing going on it's impossible to know if it's a local call either.

I love to get the scammers that try to tell me that my social security number is locked or my taxes are messed up because I torment them terribly. I start right off by asking them why are they having me pay more money when I just paid them 4-6 months ago. They has them thinking they have a live one on the line. They get really excited. My personal record to keep them on the phone tied up so they are not scamming someone else is 1 hour 45 minutes.

The other sad part about scammers is my daughter works at Target and at least 1-3X per week they find some older folk come to the cashiers asking to buy $1000-5000 worth of gift cards. The folks have no idea they are being scammed and the target employees cannot say anything to them to warn them they are being scanned. My daughter has violated the rules a few times and told the people to please go to the police department and at least have them listen when they call the scammers back and give them the gift card numbers.

I get a lot of extended car warranty and hilton rewards. It's ridiculous, it doesn't work to block the number because the number changes
