When that POS has HALF as many miles as my Toyota Highlander and it is still running on original powertrain, give me a call.

I prefer to use 'DuckDuckGo' for my searches. They don't track your search history.

So these transmissions are in the acura TLX as well. That's poetic justice.

Not a pro on the Chrysler stuff because I would never own one. But I believe the link above is for the Cherokee which is a FWD platform and the Grand Cherokee is RWD/FWD. TrackHawk uses the ZF 8HP. Don't know if that's a good thing or not.

Lol! When your Highlander grows up and gets 1/2 the HP of the Hellcat, come back and let us know how it's doing.

I don't claim a Highlander has anything near that HP. But I do claim that it already has outlasted virtually anything that says "Jeep" on the name plate.

You're the consumate expert on Dodges now too?
I didn't see that one pass through your garage last month.

FWIW, my SRT has 130k pretty much trouble free miles and still strong. But it's almost 300hp shy of the Hellcat motor so maybe youre right, cant speak to the longevity of the 6.2.
The only relatively new part in the Hellcat lineup is the blown 6.2. The rest is all Grand Cherokee or LS platform car which is a proven, over 10 years on the road chassis. Engines are for the most part bulletproof and the bombproof NAG1 trans gave way to a better ZF HPXX trans that is used extensively in FCA vehicles for 4 years now and other mfgs as well with few reported issues.

Bam!

I am a ‘merican car guy. But CP is right that the domestics just don’t compare in longevity to the Asian cars.

It pains to me to say this but we are looking at imports for the next car possibly.

FWIW, I would never buy a foreign truck over a Ford or Chevy. But if I were buying a car or SUV, Toyota or perhaps Mazda....or maybe Ford since relatives can get me A plan....but they are so 'pedestrian'.

I’ve had a Dodge and several jeeps pass through my garage, and I flip jeeps.. lol. You have it out for me today or something? My best friends new Grand Cherokee was a nightmare. The SRT platform is even worse with the clunky shifting “bombproof” trans. No thanks.
