Yup you need to order a 2019 head unit and adapter cable..
Called for my SIL boat. Was hoping just a software update as well, but no luck

So insane to me that they wouldn't have made this a software update or make the original one be able to take updates. The head unit even looks the same. Not mention $800 is insane...love my system but this is disappointing for a system I paid basically 8k in options for.

I Agree my dealer quoted me $1100 to install the system update, not worth it in my opinion. I guess the lake will hear my tunes.

Are we sure there is no other way to get zone control to the tower speakers besides a $800 head unit? Maybe an aftermarket separate knob? Has anyone cracked the Klipsch zone control on the advanced audio package?

Maybe there is a way around it if someone can get photos of the 19 option. Also can run a different amp with zone control option for less then 800-1100?

Hi Klipsch - if I have 2018 XT23 with advanced audio and 2 tower S80s, can I add 2 more tower S80s with the existing amp?

Can't wait!!!

For any others out there that want to add tower speakers or upgrade from two tower speakers - when they already have the premium audio package - you have to purchase
508827 Amp Klipsch 4 CH
508006 Harness-AMP Battery 60 AMP 2ft '18
508503 Harness AMP-XT, XS, PRE
508510 Tower Harness

Getting to the tower wiring to connect the tower harness isn't too bad. You have to unscrew the light above the port cup holders directly under the tower. 8 Wires are tucked right there. Everything was pretty well labeled. I can provide some pics and more details if anyone needs - just PM me.

Zone Control now available for model year 2018 boats with Klipsch Advanced Audio

For model year 2018 MasterCraft boats equipped with the Klipsch Advanced Audio package*, you can now add Zone Control functionality with an optional dealer installed retrofit kit.

With this upgrade, you will have independent volume control for the different zones in the boat directly from the Klipsch head unit (Bow, Cockpit, Tower & Sub). This retrofit kit is a combination of software updates to the Klipsch head unit, a new DSP profile and a special interface cable.

This retrofit kit is available now through the MasterCraft dealer network. Contact your dealer for pricing and installation.

*Klipsch Advanced Audio packages consist of both the Klipsch head unit and DSP. Zone Control cannot be added to base audio packages.

I really hope MC never makes another boat without zone control. It's extremely useful.
