2016 X30 adding more than factory ballast

I currently have a 2016 x30 I love it. I would like to increase the ballast, front and rear. Currently, I have add-on bags that came from the factory. Has anybody done this on the x30? Wouldn't mind putting in faster pumps as well. I welcome any comments relating to this subject thank you.

I took the factory bags out and put 750's in the back, you can go bigger if you'd like. I put 400lbs of lead in the nose.

Swapping bags and lead up front will be your easiest way to get heavier. You can go bigger than 750's if you want, but I'm already at ~10 minute fill times with 750's, I think Aric's 1100's take ~12 minutes.

Upgrading the pumps just seems like more trouble than its worth from where I sit, even though I would prefer shorter fill times.

I've never timed my ballast, but that seems excessive. Is the thru-hull/manifold a bottle neck?

Its gotta fill 1100lb bags that are overflowed off the stock tanks (~300lbs?)

This plus the Stbd side intake is shared with the Center tank, so it has a reduced intake for the first ~4 or so minutes of fill.

How big are the trough hulls?

My fill times are 12 minutes now with my bigger bags. I would like to add two pumps to the rear but concerned about the suction side if it could flow enough for 5 pumps?

Guess it’s possible to put in another thru hull pickup and run that to new pumps. Then all would fill in 5 minutes. Need to figure out wiring/amperage with factory screen timers. Any info?

I'd just power them with a relay that was triggered by the factory pump voltage supply. That way you wouldn't increase current draw on the factory system.

Yeah I was thinking relays for triggers on either direction flow to fill dump off stock system. Can anyone confirm if stock pickup could accommodate two extra hoses?

Big enough, lol. Run a pressure drop calculator to confirm. For that reason I added a second through hull to my boat before adding a 4th pump. I did the math on upgrading fitting sizes and hose sizes, and for me, there wouldn't have been a worthwhile difference. My bottle neck was the through hull and distribution manifold.

Also don't forget to reinforce the engine dividers, I didn't on my 2015 x30 and it broke the panel. I bought a new one and got the reinforcement kit from wakemakers, it's expensive for what it is but worth it to solve the problem.

Ballast Bag Pumps not filling completely

All, I've got a 2015 X30. I'm having issues with very inefficient fills. 5 years ago the timers were set and the bags would fill 100%. Starting last year we began having issues with the port bag filling. So, replaced the impellar and it got better. We just replaced the Starboard impellar because we were having the same issues. HOWEVER, upon filling today I had the port fill 100%. At that time, the starboard bag was barely at 50%. Again, same times on timers. I've had to slowly increase times and even go to manual fill to get to 100%. I can hear the pumps running, but it is taking longer than ever. Any thoughts? Can the pumps actually become "tired" over time? Thanks.
