Not a good time to take a photo but here it goes. Bushes to the right are blueberries. ~50 Bushes of 17 different varieties. Daffodils in the front next to the lawn were planted in 1998 before my oldest daughter was born. When they were blooming and in their prime we heard her heartbeat at the Ob-gyn appointment. The following spring when she was a few months old I propped her up and took a photo of her that started a tradition where every spring we take pictures of her and her sister in them. She stopped when she was 18 and away at college and in a week or so our other daughter will take her final photo because she will be going to college this fall. Many neighbors are continuing the tradition by taking photos of their kids in the patch now.

The main garden has 5 rows of strawberries covered in straw. I plant new plants every year and the second year plants get plowed under and black plastic put over the once the berries are done. The plastic kills the weeds (thistles are terrible here!) and the watermelons and cantalopes grow over the plastic because they love it hot. The rest of the garden gets the usual 'taters and 'maters and all manner of about 30 other crops planted.

Honeybees can be seen the background although the hive in front is just there to be picked over and the little bit of honey removed by the other hives. In the back middle of the frame is a little yellow house which is our cabin where the boat gets parked all summer. We closed on that last summer and are looking VERY forward to just walking to our cabin and going for a session.

To the left out of view are more daffodils (more of them than on the right) and a bunch of fruit trees, mostly cherry and a peach tree. Yes I am crazy enough to try to grow peaches here. A long time ago I had a tree that did really well and we won grand champion at the local county fair.

I promise mine is out there somewhere lol. I'm kind of a HortDork. We had 85 degree weather on Easter and were out on the boat and now this on April 15th.
