zft3 tower issue. need advise please

Late start to my season this year. Just took the shrink wrap off and I discovered the fella that wrapped the boat last fall must of had trouble figuring out how to swing the board rack around. There are plier marks on the lock knob and the aluminum threads are pulled out of tower piece. Any advise here or part numbers or source for parts would be terrific. I was thinking to drill and heli coil the aluminum part and re install . I would think the threaded rod part should thread out of knob so I can disassemble but wont budge . So if parts are not available, better to ask stupid questions before making stupid mistakes.

Hey Mike, that stinks! At least you found the part. It would be extra, but could always ship to a friend in US, and then have them mail to you. Good luck!
