Now that is a great Idea and it also covers my second worry the weather between here and there on the return trip. I will check into shrink wrap for the return trip.

I just got back from dropping the hull and interior at Viper Custom. The trip took about 5 hours to get there. The engine cover would not fit in the back of my truck with the other interior parts so it had to ride in the hull in it's normal location with the addition of ratchet strap from the front handle to the pylon brace to secure it. I towed the hull with out the deck at speeds up to 80 mph there was no movement or vibration on the sides and it towed just fine.

What's the timeline for picking it back up? Anything on the shrink wrap for the trip home?

I talked with Jim ,Carl and Kemberly at Viper Custom. They were all very excited about the Protour project. Carl mentioned that he was on the original design team for this boat and had a lot of great ideas on the rework. We did not set a timeline as a Guess I would say 2 or 3 weeks and Kemberly said they could shrink wrap the hull for the return trip.

Carl did indeed help design the interiors .. he told me about that also when i was there. Interestingly, Carl said he had built 17 of the 25 93 limiteds and personally signed the drivers seat ... when he redid mine he saw his signature from 23 years earlier!

That's interesting, that would mean mine was the last one he built/signed...I'll look for that but I wonder if it's under the vinyl?

I spent some time looking at this engine cup holder it looks like some one tried to patch up a crumbling plastic cup holder with fiberglass then wrapped it in stretch vinyl to hide the ugly.
I am thinking ether Aluminum or Teak Wood maybe some custom engraving and milled vent slots.
