Ask for help here It might be able to be repaired without replacement.
That is why they dont offer the 4.3 on the new 21 models.

Just my opinion but a boat even a 17 model like mine shouldnt have had the option of the non programable computer. 100k for one should be standard.

So can you edit and save speed, tab, and ballast on each standard profile? Is it the same surf left steep, surf left mellow, surf right steep, surf right mellow, wakeboard? I can't add additional profiles is what your saying?
Is the auto launch still an option on there?

Auto launch is not to my knowledge.

I donít believe you can edit profiles either. Look up the guy who fixes the screens on here.

That's dumb. Either one of those is a deal breaker for me. I assumed it would have basically the same function just a smaller non touch screen. I've reached out to the guy your referring to I believe and he isn't able to find a source for the screen. I'm going to apply a clean 12v supply to it and see if it acts any better.

I have the 4.3" on my X2 and am completely satisfied... but I do suspect its like anything else. I was coming out of an older MC with neither and it was an upgrade from the electronics I had. Going forward is always fun, but backwards always leaves you missing features.... I also said I'd never need a crew cab truck, and now I can't imagine buying a regular cab.

As for resale, I actually perfered the boats with the 4.3. Large touch screens did, and still do scare me. Ipads, tablets, and auto gps screens go funky way too often as it is for me to have felt comfortable at the time with one in a marine environment.

I will confirm though, that it does support auto-launch, as mine has it. But it does not save profiles. You can tweak speed and it'll remember it, but if you adjust tabs, they'll go back to the stock profiles with each new start. I have not found a work-a-round to avoid that.

I havenít given up yet on trying to fix 7Ē screens. Iím waiting on parts from oversees.
Problem is manufacturing companies are claiming IP and not divulging part specifications so I have to guesstimate...

You can not edit them and save them. You can choose the preset profile and adjust on the go but once you come back to neutral and put back in gear it will reset to the preset profile.

Auto launch is available i have it on my 2017 XT23 on the older models I am not sure.

Thank you for clarifying. That seams like a pretty basic software function. Maybe they will update the software eventually.

if its anything like the other screens ive seen mentioned on here, its using J1939 (super common commerical/marine/ag CAN spec) so it wouldnt take much work to have someone with a working setup log that traffic for you.

work backwards to implement from there on whatever screen physically fits.

some of the software tools are a little spendy for that, but it could be done.

possible that the smaller screens were cost cut to not have enough non volatile memory to even write these things to. so it may not be quite as simple as a software update. but it might!
